Personality / Views
Valeria at a first glance might come of as everything from suspiciously kind to arrogant and condescending. Often having a high and mighty tone to her voice often she seems to enjoy playing with words and mastering doublespeak.
And only talking to her for a short while one would learn about her dedication to Law and Order, at least in the imperial sense. And a deep seeded love for her people, her country and all those who is under its guiding hand. As her driving force often is rooted towards a better tomorrow, And avoiding the mistakes of the past. However. One persons dream, is anothers nightmare, something she fully embraced.

To some Valeria would be a Guardian of values towards a better tomorrow, a vision for a prosperous future for all of Garlemalds people, Pureblood and none alike and to others a monsters of chaos and destruction. And she is rarely one to hold her opinions to herself, unless she of course has a purpose for not spilling her thoughts loud and clear for the moment.

Most of her actions and reasoning comes down to logic and testable and repeatable knowledge, and its effects on the world around.
This have lead her to have a heavy bias towards magic as a whole, and following a strict personal code around those whom would use it in the /Wrong/ ways according to her.

She also possesses a rather unhealthy obsession towards Beauty and Strength combined which at times can present itself in rather dangerous unhealthy ways. She has often spoken out about the lower class or races and that they shouldn't be limited due to their birth, but their willingness to embrace the empire and the visions of tomorrow, and their resourcefulness and skill. Yet slight contradictions shows itself when speaking of bloodlines and how no matter the skillful smith, no matter how successful a merchant, No matter how rich an investor or scientist. only extraordinary achievements should ever raise you from one block to the other, as to force people to strive for extraordinary goals.
HOWEVER, Despite all this, there would be no doubt her love and support for her people (Nationality) as she would stand up for the lowest of conscript or slave, against anyone of another nationality, as those under the Ivory standard, are one people, bound by loyalty and duty.

Despite her otherwise strict and stoic nature when in service. Valeria is known for frequenting many a social gathering for the empires elite, finding herself when possible to take part of the social game of the social aspect of society. But often after many a dance, cloaked conversations and many a drink, and dinners often easily grew bored, and found herself slipping away often to slip out alone, for a long ride across the western snowfields and mountains taking in the snowcloaked mountainous areas and northern skies, finding a sort of calm, in the beauty she found within this frozen north which most would call a hell. To her were always so much more.

Background

Born in to the old high house of Angelius, within Garlemald city whom tracks their roots to the founding of the republic before the empire. The family having political power aswell as military, There was very little Valeria would want for. Yet, while her father a man of politics and governing as Senator, and investor the Magitek academy, he much ran the family's finances. Her Mother, a military woman to the core and at the time of Valerias birth the Tribunus angusticlavius, of the first. She took Valeria from the day she was born under her wing and as soon as she could walk and talk shoved a blunt sword in her hand and as such her training begain..
And while her Father, tought her of the social expectations, and the ways of the political games, her Mother kept always interupting it with at every chance she had free from her duties to enforce stric deadlines and goals for the young girl within both Academic and military studies.

Already in her early teenage years she had started taking on a great deal of responsibility within the family, studies and her training and later on as was expected of her serve fully within the Garlean Military.
And through her talents and dedication, as well as her belief in the empires ideals she came to quickly rise in ranks and already at her early twenties finding herself in charge of a Cohort of soldiers. Many of which saw the young Garlean as a chance of getting a one up on a old republican bloodline and someone they thought privileged... This were very quickly stomped out and rarely ever attempted again. How often remained unspoken of, yet somehow managed to instil loyalty to a fault, many claiming to the shared belief of Varis Galvus, and Quintus Cinna her Legatus. Thus many of the 6th under Regula, and 14th under Gaius shared much of her views for tomorrow.

Just before The 7th Calamity
She were promoted to Praefectus Castrorum of the 1st. And assigned the Castrum Altum apicem in the south western part of Magna Glacies, along with a set of Cohort, to remain on Standby, at the word of Quintus van Cinna.

After the Calamity 7th Calamity
And for the coming five years, she held said position while guarding one part of the southern mountain range in to northern Ilsabard. Rooting out threats as they appeared and aiding in campaigns within the Ilsabardian borders. As well as Taking part in the Civil war to support Varis zos Galvus claim to the throne, and much like her Legatus did so in a fiercly loyal manner.

A new dawn/Fall of an empire.
During Varis rule as the emperor, she remained fully under the Command of Quintus van Cinna, and followed command without much question at all. And at times when seen in the capital when not on official business, could often be found in the family mansion in the inner city Overlooking the western mountain range. Or attending social conventions within the inner city, as she were quite fond of doing.
however, come the fall of the empire rumored at the hands of none other than the Garlean hero Gaius van Bealsar.. unlike many others she refused to believe this, a man as loyal to Varis as Gaius would never raise a sword in such an dishonrable manner, even when branded a deserter she believed the man held honor.. instead she fell in with the belief that htis were all a plot by the 3rd, House Brutus and Lord Nerva yae Galvus. And as such she refused the claim to the throne by Nerva, and followed Quintus rapidly when recalled to the capital to defend the late Emperor Varis honor against the usurpers.. as the devastating civil war broke out.

Aftermath
After the civil war brought much ruin to the city itself, and the sudden appearance of the Telophoroi, the tempering of many of her friends, family and legionnaire's. As well as the appearance of the monstrocity of a tower, that laid waste to the inner city of the Capital itself.. She took to the mission of the "iyl" under her Legatus, Keeping the fight going.. until very recently.
Now, she works mostly on her own not trusting the forces at Laterum (Camp Broken glass) under the former Lucia goe Junius. And while harboring no ill towards Maxima quo Priscus.. considers it rash and to high a risk to trust the southern forces... claiming that:

"In time, once they feel we recovered enough, what will you do when they want something in return? bend the knee before their southern masters, and its people whos majority would see our people clapped in irons or killed? And those would be the lucky ones."

While the Magitek functions within the armor itself is mostly unknown, She have been seen rarely utilizing the gloves to send a projectile or energy towards enemies.
